In order to meet the urgent needs of the industry and academia for fermentation technology, biological reactions, and pilot scale teaching and training, Bairun Biology has developed a targeted biological reaction strong foundation training plan. 


A series of course experiments have been designed around the theory and practice of fermentation technology, laboratory safety and regulations, and the operation and maintenance of biological reaction equipment.

1、 Training objectives
Strengthening theoretical knowledge: Based on students' mastery of the basic theory of fermentation technology, microbiological principles, fermentation process control, and other theoretical knowledge, targeted strengthening of relevant theoretical knowledge is necessary. (0.5 days)

Enhance practical ability: Through experimental practice, students can proficiently master the operation of biological reaction laboratory equipment, experimental skills, and data processing methods. (4.0 days)

Strengthen safety awareness: Ensure that students understand and comply with laboratory safety regulations, and master emergency response measures. (0.5 days)

2、 Training Content
(1) Fermentation Technology Basic Theory Fermentation Definition and Classification: Introduce the basic concepts, types, and applications of fermentation in various fields. Microbiology Fundamentals: Explain the basic characteristics, classification, and role of microorganisms in the fermentation process. 

Fermentation process principle: Explain the biological reaction principle, material and energy balance, mass and heat transfer, etc. during the fermentation process.

(2) Laboratory safety and regulations: Introduce the laboratory's safety management system, operating procedures, and emergency plans. 
Personal protective equipment: Explain the selection, use, and maintenance methods of personal protective equipment. Chemical Management: Learn about the storage, use, and waste management of chemicals.

(3) Laboratory equipment operation and maintenance: Types and characteristics of fermentation equipment: Introduce common fermentation equipment (such as fermentation tanks, shaking tables, centrifuges, etc.) and their working principles.

Equipment operation process: Explain the operation process, precautions, and common troubleshooting methods of the equipment. Equipment maintenance: Learn the daily maintenance knowledge of equipment to extend its service life.

(4) Experimental skills and data processing (practical training based on batch cultivation of Bacillus) Experimental skills teaching: including preparation of culture medium, sterilization techniques, strain activation and expansion cultivation. 

Fermentation Experiment Design: Learn how to design a fermentation experiment plan, including experimental objectives, background, methods, steps, and expected results. Data Processing and Analysis: Explain the methods of collecting, organizing, analyzing, and writing experimental data reports.

3、 Training methods
Theoretical teaching: Using various methods such as PPT, interviews, and presentations to explain theoretical knowledge. Practical operation: Practice in the laboratory with on-site guidance from the teacher. 

Group discussion: Encourage students to discuss problems encountered during the experimental process in groups to promote knowledge sharing. Case analysis: By analyzing typical fermentation experimental cases, students' problem-solving abilities can be improved.
